Our Roots

Inspired by ancient and ancestral healing practices, our passion for plant medicine has flourished - introducing us to the sacred balance of therapy, health, liberation, & indulgence. The beautiful balance of embodying these powerful paradigms allow us to find deeper connection with ourselves while maintaining a contemporary lifestyle in the modern world.

 

OUR ROOTS

 
 

Herb + Nectar began in 2017 as a conscious, small-batch apothecary + pop-up tea bar specializing in organic teas, seasonal offerings, herbalism, and apothecary goods.

Today, our mission is to connect you back to self through nature. To nourish and uplift you along your journey within through the offering of our plant-medicine inspired teas. Our hope is to inspire you to create rituals in harmony with nature that allow you to connect deeper with self, to remember who you are, and where you come from.

With the unexpected loss of our son in 2021, Elio Antonio, the course of our journey changed leading us down a path of grief, pain, and to look within our selves in ways we had not ever before. Our family was looking forward to sharing with the world all the sunshine and loving energy that our son embodied within the womb. 

We found medicine and healing in community. Family and friends nurtured and nourished us, as we were collecting the pieces of our broken hearts. We also found spiritual and physical healing in building a holistic team that surrounded us with loving support to get us through the most unimaginable time in our lives. 

In moving through the emotions of grief, what felt (and still feels) like a rollercoaster ride each day, there was an intense feeling of wanting to fill the void in our hearts. Not wanting to suppress or numb, but to fill the space with love. We found that drinking tea and creating small rituals in celebration of our son each day, brought us feelings of peace and gave us the love and strength needed to move forward another day. 

It is our hope that if you walk the path of grief, or wherever you are on your healing journey, that you find some comfort in knowing that you are not alone. That there is community sending you love, we are sending you love. Through our herbal teas, it is our hope that you too may find some peace in nourishing that space in your heart with the sunshine energy that our son, Elio, shared with us.
